Dr Damien Ryan
Damien’s passion is to help you achieve your goals, whether it be sporting or personal. This passion is aided by Damien’s extensive tertiary studies as well as his clinical and elite sporting work.
Prior to completing Osteopathy at RMIT University, Damien completed a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in anatomy and physiology. In this time, Damien studied at San Diego State University, California majoring in exercise physiology and sport psychology. Damien is also qualified in advanced sports taping, strength and conditioning and advanced dry needling.
Outside of Peak Osteopathy, Damien is the Osteopath for the Carlton Football Club AFLW team, where he has worked since 2016. His clinical sporting experience also extends to the Essendon Football Club and the official tournament Osteopath at the Australian Masters of the Amateurs golf tournament. In the clinic, Damien continues to treat elite athletes from the Olympics, NBA, A-League, W-League and state level football, soccer and basketball.
Damien’s passion as an Osteopath is to see his patients achieve their goals. Whether it’s on the sporting field or achieving daily tasks pain-free, Damien treats to allow your body to function in unison and at its peak. Utilising techniques such as massage, dry-needling, joint articulation and manipulation Damien will work to help your body function the best it can.
Outside of the clinic, Damien loves his sport, especially footy and golf. Whether it’s playing for the Old Xaverians Football Club or hitting the golf course, sport usually plays a big part on Damo’s weekends.
