Dr Kirsten O’Loughlin
Osteopath
B.Sc. (Osteopathy)/M.H.Sc. (Osteopathy)
From a young age, Kirsten has had a passion for health, movement and the body. Growing up she played tennis, netball and basketball competitively, but it was her love for the Brisbane Lions that first sparked her dream of someday working within the health field.
Kirsten completed her Bachelor degree in Clinical Science and Masters degree in Osteopathy at Victoria University in Melbourne. Prior to this she studied a Health Science degree at Deakin majoring in Nutrition and Exercise Science. It was in her final semester here that her mentor introduced her to Osteopathy. What drew Kirsten to the profession was the holistic approach to treatment and the patient centred care. She loves that she can facilitate someone’s wellbeing by encouraging their bodies healing process.
Kirsten is a very open and warm Osteopath who enjoys motivating her patients to take an active role in their health and wellbeing. She offers a range of techniques to relieve pain symptoms including soft tissue massage, joint manipulation and articulation. She is also qualified in dry needling and cupping and uses this as an adjunct to her treatment.
Outside of Peak Osteopathy Kirsten works for Blackburn Football Club where she has been since 2017. Kirsten leads an active, healthy and fun lifestyle. She loves to travel, read, listen to music and spend time with her family and friends. When she’s not at the clinic you’ll find her at the MCG, playing netball or drinking coffee with friends.
